SeaJade Investments is a member of the Association of Real Estate Agents (AREA) which was incorporated by Act of Parliament in 2012 and is the sole regulator of real estate practice and guardian of the industry’s international Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. There is no regulatory legislation at this time, no licensing of Agents, but AREA was instrumental in the drafting of legislation that passed through Parliament in 2020 and is now awaiting proclamation.
To foster close ties with the business community, we are members of the Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association, the driver of the Tobago economy, as well as members of other national associations such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the TT Group of Professional Associations, the TT Coalition of Service Industries and the FIUTT.
SeaJade Investments focuses on property sales and has a rare expertise in applications by non-nationals for a land licence under the Foreign Investment Act of 1990. For our Clients, we offer a Broker’s Opinion of Value on property to be listed for sale, and we can refer prospects / buyers to recognised Chartered Valuers for more formal valuation reports for purposes of mortgage, probate, divorce and so on. We can also recommend the professional services of attorneys, surveyors, architects, contractors and banks with whom we have established working relationships. We do not handle long or short-term rentals or property management.
